CINAHL Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Head Literature
CINAHL is an index in English that selects journal articles in other languages regarding nursing, biomedicine and health. Ella Crandall, Mildred Grandbois and Mollie Sitner started filing articles from nursing journals in the 1940s. The index was first published as the Cumulative Index to Nursing Literature (CINL) in 1961. Its name changed to the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature in 1977, when its scope extended to include related health journals. The index was published online in 1984. Its publisher, Cinahl Information Systems, was acquired by EBSCO Publishing in 2003.

IBECS Spanish Bibliographic Index of the Health Sciences
An online database that includes the bibliographical references of scientific articles published in 150 health science journals published in Spain, covering areas such as medicine (including public health, epidemiology and health administration), pharmacy, veterinary sciences, psychology, dentistry and nursing. Available since the year 2000. Practically all articles include an abstract.

Scielo Health Library Online - Scielo Spain is a virtual library formed of a collection of Spanish health science journals selected in accordance with pre-established quality criteria. The SciELO project is the result of a collaboration between BIREME (Latin-American and Caribbean Centre for Health Science Information) and FAPESP (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo). In Spain it is being developed by the National Health Sciences Library, thanks to a collaboration agreement established in the PAHO/WHO and the Carlos III Health Institute. Abrir en ventana nueva

CUIDEN® is the Fundación Index database. It includes the scientific production of Spanish and Ibero-American nursing, covering both the clinical/care content of all specialities and methodological, historical, social and cultural approaches. It contains scientific articles, books, case studies and unpublished materials.

Ibero-American Society for Scientific Information (SIIC)
SIIC publishes scientific information relating to medicine and health in Spanish and Portuguese. SIIC Data Bases (SIIC DB) classifies regular biomedical publications in Spanish and Portuguese whose scientific content and editorial processes meet the SIIC’s quality guidelines. SIIC DB contains articles for reading and ongoing training for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking health professionals; as a result, it classifies the articles from publications that cater to this.

SJR. SCImago Journal & Country Rank
The SCImago Journal & Country Rank is a homepage that includes the journals and scientific indicators from developed countries from the information contained in the Scopus® database (Elsevier BV). These indicators can be used to evaluate and analyse scientific fields. This platform owes its name to the (SJR) SCImago Journal Rank pdf, developed by SCImago from the algorithm widely known as Google PageRank™. This indicator displays the visibility of journals contained in the Scopus® since 1996.

SHERPA RoMEO is an online resource which adds and analyses the open-access policies of editorials around the world and summaries of the automatic archiving and rights conditions given to authors in a journal database. RoMEO is a JISC service collaborating with many international members, who contribute both their time and efforts to developing and updating the service.

Cuidatge
Ciudatge is a bibliographical database produced by the CRAI Campus Catalunya of Universitat Rovira i Virgili. It started in 1993 with the aim of publishing scientific literature in the field of nursing. The database contains references for journals published in Spanish and Catalan dating from 1993 to the present day. It currently holds more than 50,000 references.

AmeliCa
Ameli, Open Knowledge for Latin America and the Global South (AmeliCA) is an initiative implemented by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Latin American Council for Social Sciences (CLACSO), the Network of Scientific Journals of Latin America, Spain and Portugal (Redalyc), the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM), the University of Antioquia (UdeA) and La Plata National University (UNLP). This is a new set of strategies, put together in response to the international, regional, national and institutional context, which seeks a collaborative, sustainable, protection and non-commercial open-source solution for Latin America and the Global South.

Latindex (Regional Online Information System for Scientific Journals from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal) is a non-profit free-access academic information system, which specialises in academic journals edited in Ibero-America. It also contains information on Latin-American vocational journals edited outside of the region. The system is the result of co-operations between various institutions from 23 countries. Dialnet (Network Alert Dissemination) is one of the largest free-access bibliographic websites, whose principal task is to shine greater light on Hispanic scientific literature. It compiles and facilitates access to scientific content, mainly through documentary alerts. It also has an exhaustive, inter-disciplinary and up-to-date database, which includes full texts.

C17 Recurrent Publications Catalogue for Libraries
The C17 is a collective catalogue which groups together collections of recurrent publications in health sciences from 500 Spanish libraries. Its first edition on CD-ROM was in 1996. It is currently a centralised catalogue that can be browsed online. Each library can update their online data. Universities or other centres that have a high number of collections should update their catalogues at least once a year by compatible ISO files.

REBIUN
The collective catalogue of the Network of University Libraries (REBIUN Catalogue) gathers the bibliographic records of 76 university libraries and the CSIC which forms part of this network. The catalogue also includes bibliographical records from the National Spanish Library, the National Catalonian Library and MICINN (Ministry of Science and Innovation) libraries, among its library members. Updated every three months, it is possible to search through more than 16 million bibliographical records with the corresponding locations.

DOAJ- Directory of open access journals
This is a directory of open access journals. The objective of the DOAJ is to increase the visibility and ease of use for open-access scientific and academic journals, thus promoting greater use and impact. The DOAJ aims to be all-encompassing and cover all open-access scientific and academic journals which use a control system to guarantee quality content. In short, the DOAJ aspires to be the one-stop shop for all open-access journal users.

This is a platform that groups together all Spanish scientific archives and provides services both to archive managers and researchers. Its objectives are to: drive forward and coordinate the national infrastructure of open-access digital scientific journals, which are interoperable in line with global community standards. Promote, support and facilitate the adoption of open access by R&D centres and Spanish researchers, the main producers of scientific knowledge in Spain. MIAR - Information Matrix for Analysing Journals
MIAR is a support tool for those involved in assessments: it provides data on the identity and dissemination of journals where assessment work is published. MIAR includes more than 40,000 publications. Their presence is analysed in databases and multi-disciplinary collections and an indicator (the Secondary Composite Index Diffusion or ICDS) is given as a result.

This is a database of journals that describes the peer-review policy, rates, quality metrics and many other characteristics that researchers find useful when making decisions about where to publish. Formed of a preferred list of renowned journals and an avoid list of questionable journals, Cabells aims to become a reliable source of information on journal quality, competitiveness, visibility and integrity. The avoid list is an impartial and potentially integral resource to assist authors in identifying problematic journals.
